Request to Add Mary Ladd’s Heritage to the We Wai Kai Nation Entry
[edit]Hello, I would like to request an addition to the We Wai Kai Nation Wikipedia entry to include information about Mary Ladd, an enrolled We Wai Kai First Nation member. Mary Ladd is an established writer and editor known for her contributions to Indigenous heritage, cancer narratives, and culinary writing. She is the author of The Wig Diaries, illustrated by Don Asmussen, and has contributed to Indigenous topics in culinary and cultural writing, which reflects her heritage.
Currently, Ladd is connected to Don Asmussen’s page and cited as a source on Chef Chris Cosentino's page, but her background as a member of the We Wai Kai First Nation is not yet mentioned on relevant pages. Recognizing her Indigenous heritage and literary contributions would add value to the entry.
