Contradictory statements?

[edit]

== 2004 ==

In September 2004, the BankUnited Center was the scene of the first presidential debate between incumbent George W. Bush and his challenger John Kerry.

== 2005 ==

BankUnited, the largest bank headquartered in Florida, enters into an agreement with University of Miami to name the building in honor of the company.

If the place didn't get its name till 2005, what was it called when Bush and Kerry debated? Its original name (even if simply "University of Miami Arena") should be indicated. 66.234.222.23 (talk) 01:36, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Changed 2004 entry. - GroveGuy (talk) 19:56, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Watsco Renaming

[edit]

The arena was recently renamed to the Watsco Center. I moved the page to the new article, but I'm not sure how to word the historical name list. I've looked at Hard Rock Stadium as an example, but I don't think two previous names calls for it's own paragraph. I don't see a new logo yet and I haven't seen any mention of an official nickname (BUC). Suggestions / edits are welcome. BahamaLlama8 (talk) 00:37, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

notability?

[edit]

I personally believe that this venue is notable by virtue of having two independently notable college sports teams playing in it, in addition to the notable political event also mentioned, but perhaps the writers should put more citations in the body of the article to justify it.
