Book review of The South Was Right
[edit]I found this:
- "An argument for the South". The Tampa Tribune. Tampa, Florida. 1994-05-08. p. Commentary 6. - Clipping at Newspapers.com.
This is by the newspaper's news editor at the time.
I am not aware of any academic book reviews on this work, but I'd like to find them before I attempt to make an article on that book (which is by the same people). Brian Dirck pointed out that The South Was Right had, by 1999, a sales figure of 50,000 (which shows that ahistorical views can have wide currencies :( ). Suitability for sourcing
[edit]On Wikipedia typically the best sources are suggested for sourcing a topic. Bibliography of Jefferson Davis shows there is a multitude of scholarly, respected books (which would be backed up by good book reviews!)
The academic book reviews of this one do not indicate it is favored by scholars. I would suggest using other books. WhisperToMe (talk) 23:35, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
URL of the book
[edit]Pelican Publishing had a URL dedicated to the book indicated by http://web.archive.org/web/19990219142618/http://pelicanpub.com/w.htm , but it never got archived by the Wayback Machine :(
http://pelicanpub.com/history/was%20jefferrson%20davis%right.htm was the URL WhisperToMe (talk) 23:38, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
