Notability Tag
[edit]I just started this article yesterday. I plan to expand and add some external links this evening when I can look up exact URLs, in particular to the company's official web site and to its article on BoardGameGeek.com. Schoop 16:31, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
The issue I would have with notability is that the original GW game was notable for subject matter, components, packaging and several of the games mechanisms. It was also written by a famous games designer - Derek Carver (for whom there is no entry in Wikipedia, however. And it should be said that he's mainly known for Warrior Knights and Blood Royale). The Fantasy Flight game isn't particularly a principal within the FFG stable and splits the original game between the basic game and the Crown and Glory expansion. It looks like someone at FFG really liked the original and thought they could trade the license. One famous designer did however work on the revision (Bruno Faidutti).
This article just recounts the rules for the FFG version. My suggestion would be discuss the original game, establish its notability, describe (in less detail) the mechanisms, note the revision and describe the changes, and note the expansion. Shady18n (talk) 15:40, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- Despite Shady18n's comment above from a year ago, no notability has been established in the article's lead. --Bejnar (talk) 18:05, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
