Proposed deletion
[edit]Deletion of this list article was proposed on the basis that it fails WP:NLIST and WP:CSC as only one entry has an article.
@Acad Ronin: I can see nothing at all in either WP:NLIST or WP:CSC that disqualifies a list where only one entry has a stand-alone article. This list meets two of the three purposes for a list article in WP:LISTPURP and WP:NLIST: "Information" (it informs the reader that there have been at least two ships with the same name) and "Navigation" (it assists the reader to determine whether the one sought has an article or not). This list also meets appropriate selection criteria in WP:LSC - it is unambiguous, objective and verifiable - and both entries are what one would expect to find in a "List of ships named Warre". Of the three alternative objective criteria in WP:CSC, this article clearly meets Short, complete lists of every item that is verifiably a member of the group

- Thanks Davidships. Another editor already deleted the Prod. I was going to reach out to an admin to check, but my understanding was that because many ships often have the same name, launch years, and even similar sizes, Ship Index pages have different (and much looser) rules from DABs, or even lists. As a friend put it, "Different animal; different part of the zoo; different feeding schedule." At some point I will check on this. Cheers, Acad Ronin (talk) 11:53, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
