Templates in "Procedure" Section

[edit]

I have attempted to edit this article in order to remove it from WP:DEP. In doing so, I was confused by the section on procedure and added the {{cleanup-merge}} and {{confusing}} templates. My reason for this is that the original article sets out the procedure to obtain this warrant, states that the limit is different in Scotland, and then repeats the procedure. It is not clear if this is a repetition of the previous information or to differentiate that the procedure is different in Scotland from that in England.

What is confusing about it? The MAXIMUM amount in both cases is £5000 - larger amounts follow a different procedure. In England
there is no MINIMUM amount, but in Scotland there IS a minimum amount of £500. There doesn't appear to be any confusion to my mind
or a repetition of the previous information. Does anybody else see a problem? - Whisperwolf 14:05, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article itself probably needs to be re-written so as to take into consideration that this type of creditors' remedy, in one form or another, is employed in other Commonwealth/common law countries (and possibly in the United States, if I am guessing correctly). A merge into writ of execution might be in order. Agent 86 22:57, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Carried out a re-write; hopefully it is now clearer.

Not sure given its length whether it should be merged or kept seperate.

Spelling

[edit]

"Judgement" is not an English variant of "judgment". In the legal sense, Wikipedia does not use the 'e', including in articles relating to England. Mauls (talk) 10:03, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
