Ware → Ware, Hertfordshire — Many other uses of the term listed at Ware (disambiguation), including Ware's own football team Ware F.C. and the town of Ware, Massachusetts. The term "Ware" does not have a primary topic. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 15:32, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose - Relevant hits from stats for June:
- Ware 3752
- Ware, Illinois 158
- Ware, Massachusetts 744
- -ware 221
- Ware F.C. 694
- Ware (ethnic group) 69
- Ware (disambiguation) has only recieved 271 hits for that period, obviously not many people arriving at Ware were looking for any of the other topics. Most of the entries in the dab page shouldn't even be there per WP:DABNOT anyway. Based on the above and the number of hits to the dab page, primary topic is clear. - Strong support "ware" is a common English term, "wares for sale" is a common English phrase. further Wikipedia is not the world. 76.66.195.196 (talk) 04:38, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- Support I'm not sure that a small town in Hertfordshire, particularly one that is not all that well-known outside the immediate vicinity, can be considered to be the primary topic. There have been a number of instances recently where American editors have tried to move English towns (usually much larger or historically important towns) from being the primary topic, but this really is not the one to make a stand on. Not that I'm suggesting the proposer is American – she's Irish, with a good record of work on British articles. Skinsmoke (talk) 03:38, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Literature
[edit]Recently a new subject has been added to the page - literature. It only mentions a rather obscure Edward Lear limerick. Is it worth a separate section - or even worth mentioning at all? There are plenty of more important references to Ware in literature - such as Shakespeare (Twelfth Night), Cowper (John Gilpin) and Chaucer (Canterbury Tales). The first two are mentioned elsewhere on the page. Should they be moved to this section or the Lear reference moved (or deleted)? Andrew of Ware (talk) 22:32, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
