Afrofuturism

[edit]

What are the sources for this section?? It seems like just one person's opinion.

Wanuri has said her work draws from histories and traditions within Africa of story-telling, saying: "In every culture that I've heard of there's always been people in all parts of Africa that have either looked to space or have had people that are seers, that can see into the future. And who could disseminate the future and tell people what is going to happen." Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWMtgD9O6PU

Perhaps we could incorporate some of this into the page by citing her push-back to the afrofutursm genre while still situating her work within it in the popular imagination? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluets27 (talkcontribs) 16:08, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
