I believe this facility is notable enough based on the number of awards (including state wide) that it has won. It is also the ONLY hospital of its kind in the Central Savannah River Area of Georgia, which makes it an exceptional hospital.

Hospital name has changed - February 2025

As of February 2025, this hospital is legally changed it's name from "Walton Rehabilitation Hospital" to "Rehabilitation Hospital of Augusta" which should be reflected in this article. Rehabilitaiton Hospital of Augusta official website
