Missing History

[edit]

An important development is missing in between the 1980s and 2000s in the history section. LSD Dream Emulator (1998) for PSX. Shinbickler (talk) 16:10, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As well as, shockingly, Yume Nikki (2004). These two games are arguably much more important to the actual development of the genre than The Forest or Explorer. Shinbickler (talk) 16:11, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Do we have reliable sources that attach them to the genre? Without that, that would be original research. Masem (t) 16:23, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

it is a word people use to criticize games where you have to walk from plase to plase instead of fast travel 2A02:C7C:63C5:2F00:6AF6:3BFF:FE61:E43A (talk) 20:54, 5 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Changing the image description in the "History" section

[edit]

In the image box on the left side of the History section there is a featured screenshot from the game Gone Home. The description says "the player explore their character's childhood home", which isn't true. In the game Gone Home the character is coming home to visit your family at their new home, which is foreign to your character, who has never lived at this house before. The phrasing should be changed to something like:

"Gone Home has the player visiting their family's new home, finding nobody in the house. The player must explore to discover clues to find out what has happened."

This new phrasing is more accurate to the actual gameplay and story of Gone Home. ModernPixels (talk) 20:06, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
