In this sentence:

"Walayar is considered the Gateway of Kerala from mainland India, as other border checkposts are located in ghat section and huge entry like walayar."

I am not sure whether ghat means mountains or what in this context, or what the logic is here. Nor do I understand what the part about huge entry is about, so I am deleting everything after "India".
