Radiant Eclipse
[edit]The article on the song Radiant Eclipse doesn't meet WP:Notability on its own. If the content is worth having, it needs to be merged into the album article, Waking the Fallen. Kathy A. 16:35, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:WakingTheFallen.jpg
[edit]Image:WakingTheFallen.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Waking The Fallen Last album to feature M.Shadows Screaming
[edit]This isn't true since in City of Evil he screams in the intro of the beast and the harlet, and on the recent release of the self titled album he screams in a number of songs, and their uploads of critical acclaim being made shows a visual evidence of M.Shadows screaming, but this is only my point of view, so thats why i haven't edited it. Mathewossja (talk) 07:45, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Mathewossja
- it is the last album to feature screamed vocals, not screaming, as you pointed out there is screaming in Beast and the Harlot. However there is an interview somewhere that says it was a transition away from their old sound. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Immersivepreview (talk • contribs) 13:03, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
Speed Metal?
[edit]Lol, are you guys sure? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alreadytaken4536 (talk • contribs) 00:43, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Nope, just metalcore. Screaming vocals signify metalcore... -MetalKommandant (talk) 16:57, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Speed metal is more like a bluesy, more rock n' roll punk-ish sounding genre, that was pioneered by motorhead and bands like that, Metallica showed speed metal influences on their debut "Kill 'em All" I wouldn't consider this album to be speed metal. I would argue that this album could be considered contemporary heavy metal, as songs can have multiple genres attached to them, not just one to describe them. I'm going add heavy metal to the genre section, if anyone disputes this just remove it and respond here to my comments. Richard.darren (talk) 23:48, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
310,000?
[edit]Were there really 310,000 copies sold in America, or more? Because the page says that Waking the Fallen is Gold, and I thought you needed at least 500,000 copies sold to get that certification. Zxcvghjk (talk) 01:27, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Gold Album
[edit]It was confirmed today that Waking the Fallen had gone Gold by M. Shadows in a message on the band's website. Link= http://www.avengedsevenfold.com/news/message-shadows NTurner42
Unholy Confessions should have it's own article
[edit]It was their first single to chart, albeit charting fairly low. Also according to the website Setlist.fm, it is the band's most played song, having been played live at least 486 times, so i think it deserves it's own article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thetrooper1998 (talk • contribs) 02:28, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
Proof of an "Eternal Rest/Chapter Four" Single
[edit]I was just on Ebay, i searched waking the fallen, and a sealed promo copy of "Eternal Rest/Chapter Four" appeared, i saved the images to my computer for proof in case anyone disputes this. I am adding it to the singles section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thetrooper1998 (talk • contribs) 06:00, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
Page Protection
[edit]Glancing through these Avenged Sevenfold album pages, it appears that there are consistent edit wars regarding spurious information, particularly with regards to songwriting contributions. It might be an idea for a regular Wikipedian who knows how to put protection on these pages to do so, as there is a lack of uniformity and a lack of citations with regards to this so-called “information”, both of which are a concern on this website. 109.150.162.237 (talk) 18:59, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
