Regarding Coppertwig's 22-Mar-2008 edit:

[edit]

When I rewrote this article, I wanted "discrete" to link to a definition, but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a dictionary. The disambiguation page does not lead to any definition useful in the context of Wadley Loop receivers, or more generally, any situation where a smoothly-changing input causes the output to go through distinct steps. "Discrete Frequency" is especially bad here; not only is it irrelevant, it's actively misleading. Nobody who follows that link will get anything from it but massive confusion. In the end, I left the word unlinked. If you know how to make it link to a dictionary instead of one of the Wiki articles, fine, but if not, I think the article's better off without a link.
