Hi @Al Ameer son:! If the source is explicit enough, could you please add smth. like "which is another way of writing W. S."? If both "h" are mute, then it makes sense. Or some PEF Brit didn't get the Arabic right :-)
I guess the title is wrong, the apostrophe is in the wrong place, should be in front of the "a", which I guess is an ayin - see the names of the village and archaeol. site. Do you know how to fix that? Cheers.
