[edit]Wadi 'Abbas is one of the oldest cities in the state (province?) of Sinaar. It was established by Sheik Muhammad Ali 'Abbas, who came from the district of Wehib in Shameliyah (Syria?), where he was a learned and devout man who founded a quarter for the teaching of the Qur'an.
