Markets
[edit]The FCC does not now, nor has it ever defined TV markets. This is Nielsen who does this. The FCC states in its website it uses Nielsen markets, with Nielsen's permission for some data and enforcement purposes, but markets are strictly a product of Nielsen a private company. 99.53.169.153 (talk) 20:01, 16 August 2009 (UTC)Wanda Jo
Fair use rationale for Image:WRIC.jpg
[edit]Image:WRIC.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

2016 logo change
[edit]In late 2016, WRIC finally retired its old logo that was used in some variations for a total of about 26 years since the callsign change from WXEX to WRIC took place in 1990. Does anyone have the image for the station's new logo that was introduced to replace it? J4lambert (talk) 12:22, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of WRIC-TV's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
