Conflict of interest help?
[edit]I created a draft page for WNYC Studios (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:WNYC_Studios), a podcast producer and distributor.
Because I work at New York Public Radio, I am concerned about conflict of interest. I am seeking your experienced eye in guiding the article into becoming something informative that adheres to all of Wikipedia's standards.
I understand that you are very busy, and appreciate any help or guidance you can provide.
Thank you.

Add the word "self" to the article's first line in the first paragraph
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. |
- What I think should be changed: Change to "self-distributing"
- Why it should be changed: It clarifies how the shows are distributed

Update content under "On the Media"
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- What I think should be changed: Update "On the Media": Remove "Bob Garfield and" ; Add the following sentence to the last paragraph: In 2023, On the Media won a Peabody Award for its series "The Divided Dial,” which charts the growth and influence of the broadcasting company, Salem Media Group and its impact on far-right politics.
- Why it should be changed: Updates the information about the show's host; the Peabody Award is new and relevant information for this show.

Update the Radiolab section
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. |
- What I think should be changed: Under "Radiolab," at the end of the last paragraph, at the following: In January 2022, it was announced that Abumrad would leave the show and in April 2022, he joined the faculty at Vanderbilt University.
- Why it should be changed: This corrects outdated information.

If the article on Abumrad provides reliable sourcing for this claim, that is what this proposed addition should be sourced to. Otherwise, it should be removed in the article on Abumrad and not included here either. Actualcpscm (talk) 12:57, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
Move and update "More Perfect"
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- What I think should be changed (include citations): "More Perfect" is currently located under "Past Shows." Move the entry to "Current Shows" and update the first sentence with the following: More Perfect debuted in 2016 as the first spinoff series from Radiolab and was originally hosted by Jad Abumrad. The show relaunched with new host, Julia Longoria, in May 2023.
- Why it should be changed: The information about More Perfect is out of date

Update "United States of Anxiety" section
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- What I think should be changed:
1. Change section name to "Notes from America with Kai Wright" 2. Rewrite the beginning of the first sentence so it reads as: Hosted by Kai Wright, Notes from America originally debuted as The United States of Anxiety in mid-2016 3. Add a new paragraph to the end of the section: The show expanded to a nationally-syndicated, live call-in radio show on 25 September, 2022 and changed its name to Notes from America with Kai Wright. The current show leads discussions that situate current events within historical and cultural contexts.
- Why it should be changed: The current section as written is out of date.

[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- What I think should be changed: Add the following paragraph at the end of the "Current Shows" descriptions: Terrestrials
Terrestrials, from Radiolab for Kids Presents, launched on 22 September, 2022. The six-part podcast series, intended for kids and families, explores the natural world. Radiolab co-host Lulu Miller created and narrates the series, which includes interviews with entomologists, physicists, surfers, hip hop artists and other experts who are in search of new knowledge and ways to interpret natural phenomena.

[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |

- What I think should be changed:
- Update names under key people: Replace "Goli Sheikholeslami" with "LaFontaine E. Oliver (CEO)"
- Under key people add "Kenya Young (SVP, WNYC Studios)"
- Under "products" add La Brega, Consider This, Notes From America with Kai Wright, More Perfect, Terrestrials
