Recent Changes

[edit]

I made the most recent changes for a few reasons.

First, it is important to mention that the station was converted from NBC to independent because that's exactly how it went down: Channel 20's switch coincided with the new ownership taking over. And secondly, we don't need to list specific show titles, or break down the schedule time slot by time slot, so I brought back sentences which simplify the changes made after the sale/LMA in '93.

From my research, WATR was a full ABC affiliate for much of the time during their relationship. Can anyone verify the line "WATR-TV became an independent station on paper"? And, the FCC FIRST asked Tribune to sell WTXX in March 2005. If the waiver period were six months, then Tribune would have asked again in September, so that can be debated. But articles found on the elsewhere on the web show March as the original date of the request. Rollosmokes 18:02, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Transmitter specs

I've just clicked on the FCC database link on this article. I notice that none of the info at the bottom of the right side box match with the data provided by the FCC (except for the Facility ID). Will someone check into this? Seven1672 (talk) 02:42, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The FCC database shows the station as still being temporarily on digital VHF 12; I've updated the intro to reflect this. Nonetheless, I am a wee bit sceptical as there does seem to be a lot of outdated info on fcc.gov --66.102.80.212 (talk) 16:06, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
