Additions to WBXX history
[edit]- http://www.mcsittel.com/html/tvg-ctn.htm (when the edition was renamed Knoxville-Chattanooga, WCPT was removed from the listings for some reason, so I can't pinpoint WHEN it moved to channel 20.
- The FCC query for WBXX shows its original calls. However, this station may be on the same license as WCPT/WINT, rather than a separate one. Gatorman 23:12, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Incidentally, WANE-TV also had the calls WINT-TV for a short period of time. --AlexDW 15:31, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- WBXX was never at any point connected with WCPT, other than (I believe) buying their license. You should create a separate article for any WCPT info if you wish to include it, but I can state for a fact (as an employee since WBXX signed on in 1997) that this is a new and separate entity from anything that went before. WB/UPN Shared programs in six markets
[edit]I learned that Paramount and WBXX's owner Acme Communications had came to a deal which would see Paramount's WWHO,WTVX and WLWC add 6 hours of The WB while WBXX, WBUI, and KPLR carry 3 hours of UPN. Source is here. (It should have been in the article long ago) --Meteorman7228 (talk) 19:43, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
