Article improvement ideas
[edit]Notes to self: Phrases such as "excel at" should be replaced by "are selectively bred for." It is worth putting in a separate section about Marbach. The term "cobby" misrepresents the original goals of the Wurttemberg breeders. No group of horses can be "sensible" as a result of one horse. The info on Kennedy is excellent; it will be worth noting that his dam is Arab-bred (she is not, as Germans would say "Arabian Thoroughbred" but quite close). This is important to note because of Marbach's long history of breeding Arabians. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Countercanter (talk • contribs) 13:50, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Note to Countercanter: Good spotting peacock words. Also check out existing wikilinks on Anglo-Arabian and history of Weil-Marbach at Arabian horse. May help. Good luck! Oh and remember to sign talk page posts (grin). Montanabw(talk) 16:58, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Anyone wishing to work on this article may find the following helpful:
1. Interstallion report [1] a survey of practices and goals filled out by the registry itself.
2. 2007 WBFSH Jumping rankings [2] #20 with Lucky the Man (Le Champion), FBW Cassius Clay (Calido), Kanebo (Konkorde), Gralsritter (Glorieux)
3. 2007 WBFSH Dressage rankings [3] #11 with Whisper (Welt Hit I), Gachino (Gardez), Proton (Patriarch), FBW Lonevan (Lagcheidor G)
4. 2007 WBFSH Eventing rankings [4] #16 with Sam FBW (Stan the Man xx) and Juliaan (Julio Mariner xx)
5. Pferdezuchtverband Baden-Wuerttemberg e.V. [5] general information.
6. Breeding Program (from above) [6] full information on the standard. Colors: chestnut, bay, black, grey, pinto; size: 160-175cm; the rest of the information is I think the generic German Warmblood stamp, word-for-word the same as in Bavaria etc. Worth looking into, regardless.
