What is a kernel?
[edit]The term kernel is used, but neither linked nor explained. Please help, if you know kernels. --HelgeStenstrom (talk) 12:27, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- Kernel (mathematics) - although I can't give a more precise answer because this isn't my field. DS (talk) 11:45, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- Kernels are the functions k() in the definition of Volterra series (k for kernel). They generalize the notion of kernels as used for example, in the theory of linear integral equations as with Kernel (mathematics). JFB80 (talk) 17:52, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
