would the dalai lama's current turn in stand of chinese occupation of tibet also fall in the volte-face category?
Usage
[edit]I live on the u.s. west coast and had never heard this term. Ngram viewer finds no usage in American English 1600-2024, and in British English flatlines at zero from 1600 to a brief spike about 1940 and finally makes a sustained appearance about 1990.
I would think the article might mention that this word appears mostly or only in British English. ~~ Captain Puget (talk) 15:58, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
