Pattern
[edit]How could Plutonia follow the pattern of The Lost World? It was published seven years before Doyle's novel. Glatisant (talk) 11:49, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
The Lost World was released in 1912, Plutonia in 1915. Zdrak2 (talk) 03:43, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
The stamp
[edit]What's the problem with it? I thought stamps are not copyrighted. There is a free license on the file. GreyHood Talk 23:13, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
- There is nothing about stamps in the license. Even if something is copyright-free in Russia, it does not follow that it is free in the United States as well. And the Foundation is based in Florida, as I'm sure you know. --Ghirla-трёп- 04:39, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- If the image is on commons, it's free and can be used on all wikies. GreyHood Talk 13:34, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- And even if Ghirla's right, this discussion belongs on the Commons anyway. The whole point of the Commons is to provide images which can be used in any wiki, so those wikis wouldn't have to expend time and energy on doing the same checks over and over again. Here, we are only concerned with the copyright status of the images stored locally.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); December 16, 2011; 14:15 (UTC)
