"Admission"

[edit]
  • This edit. No, it is precisely the point that he did not admit anything, as explained here, for example. Same in other publications, for example, [1], [2], [3],[4]. My very best wishes (talk) 00:43, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • Here is the investigation from StopFake that confirms the manipulation of Italian media on this matter https://www.stopfake.org/it/rai-1-confeziona-un-fake-sulla-morte-di-rocchelli-in-ucraina/ --Odessit1989 (talk) 05:30, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
      • Audio tapping in prison between Markiv and Sidorov: "In 2014 we fucked a photojournalist but the documents testify that I was in the hospital that day, it's not my problem" [5]. This is from an Italian national newspaper, so this part should be included in the article. Moreover, here it is indicated that, still in the audio tappings, Markiv was organizing the escape from the prison. About the sources, small counter-information and not superpartes sites such as StopFake, which most often conduct political battles should be avoided. Please stay on reliable sources. • The wiretappings reference is based on the advocate (Ballerini) testimony, so should be taken with a big grain of salt. The quote from the alleged wiretapping you referenced testify that he denied his guilt and is likely to be taken out of context of his conversation. We should wait for this wiretappings to be available to the public or in the official court reasoning.--Odessit1989 (talk) 00:37, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
        • Here is btw the video before the Rochelli death made by him. And his translator clearly says: "The shooting is from *both* sides, and we are caught in the middle"[6]
          • Maybe you're misunderstanding our role here. We must not solve the "Rochelli case", we must report the information that is supported by reliable sources on the trial. In the trial the wiretappings of Markiv in prison are reported, and those must be here in the article, also the finding of the photos in the USB card about the mistreatment of prisoners (which were also mentioned by lawyers). In addition, all the information in favor of Markiv are currently listed in this article and all trial data are excluded. It seems as if there is a specific desire to carry out a political attack. Why cancel the Italian trial sentence?

[edit]

I don't understand why User:Lute88 is deleting this part from the article. Markiv serves in the Ukrainian National Guard, so the information, which comes from the reasons for the sentence, is of crucial importance also because it seems that the prosecution also wants to bring his superiors to trial.--Mhorg (talk) 22:27, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

UAF was not on trial, Markiv was. See WP:COATRACK.--Aristophile (talk) 00:22, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Markiv serves in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and yes, this is a very important info about the trial. An important info that is not being reported in Ukraine, an info that someone from Ukraine is trying to remove also from Wikipedia. Very strange.--Mhorg (talk) 09:35, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Markiv was EXONERATED. You should know what that means in English.--Aristophile (talk) 22:22, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Myrotvorets (SBU linked website)

[edit]

I'm against this removal [7], Myrotvorets is clearly part of the reactions from the Ukrainian state, so it must be kept. I have explained more specifically here.[8]--Mhorg (talk) 12:15, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Which RS (preferably in English, mainstream) say that it was a reaction to the case of Markiv? If there are such sources, this info should be included (agree) with in-line referencing. I do not see any. My very best wishes (talk) 14:06, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It is an Italian case, obviously the Italian journalists are the ones who followed the story. L'Espresso is a pro-Western RS.[9] Then there are also minor sources.[10]--Mhorg (talk) 14:55, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It is not accessible online. What exactly it tells about Myrotvorets and Markiv? How are they related? Keep in mind that "Reaction" sections of pages should generally include only reactions by notable political figures, views by experts, etc. A posting on an SBU-connected propaganda (and disinformation?) website does not fall into that category. My very best wishes (talk) 15:39, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
L'Espresso:Even today, the news agency Myrotvorets.center, very close to the Ukrainian intelligence and interior ministry, publishes the lists of alleged Russian terrorists, war criminals and traitors together with the names of journalists considered enemies of Ukraine, for not playing the Kiev propaganda. And on their personal pages, the same site shows photos of Andrea and Andrei with the chilling red overlay: "Liquidated". This is pratically the Interior Ministry position about the case Rocchelli-Markiv, it has a lot of relevance.--Mhorg (talk) 15:49, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK, the cited passage includes Andrea and Mironov, but where is Markiv? My very best wishes (talk) 16:01, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It is related to the fact that the Ukrainian state considers Rocchelli, of whom Markiv was accused of being one of the killers, a pro-separatist. So the Ukrainian State sided with Markiv and the Ukrainian army, regardless of their guilt or not.--Mhorg (talk) 16:13, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, of course the Ukrainian State sided with Markiv and the Ukrainian army. But unless a strong RS makes direct connection between Markiv and Mirotvorets, this is WP:SYN. My very best wishes (talk) 16:21, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
