Chinese citizens of Macau

Why the "Chinese" in the title? Seems there is the potential to mislead people into thinking there is some subset of citizens of Macau that are not Chinese. Perhaps it would be better as Visa requirements for citizens of Macau.Ordinary Person (talk) 14:40, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Late response but... a subset of Macanese permanent residents are Portuguese and do not have Chinese nationality for various reasons. The title is quite accurate in this regard since these Chinese nationals have no right of abode in Mainland China. C-GAUN (talk) 07:54, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Visa-free Agreements Concluded by Mainland Chinese Government

[edit]

Seriously, I can't stress this enough. The agreements signed by the Chinese government are applicable to holders of Chinese passports only. Please refrain from citing irrelevant sources. C-GAUN (talk) 08:05, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In case my message failed to reach you: what you are doing is unconstructive after at least two editors isolated your original research. If this keeps going on, you will be reported to the administrator. C-GAUN (talk) 01:46, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To future editors: The Chinese government has relinquished the power on visa-waiver negotiations and has passed them down to the HKSAR and MSAR governments under the respective Basic Laws (Article 155 of the Basic Law of HKSAR and Article 140 of the Basic Law of MSAR). The visa-waiver negotiations are solely the responsibility of the MSAR and HKSAR governments. Visa waiver agreements signed by the Chinese government does not include the two SARs. Any deliberate attempt to mislead the readers to claim their passport being a "Chinese passport" when applying for visas or utilizing visa waivers available only to Mainland Chinese citizens is callous and will be reverted and branded as vandalism. Seriously, just stop this nonsense. Macanese are NOT eligible for visa-free agreements signed between Chinese and foreign governments. If in doubt you can call DSI or the foreign consulate in Hong Kong or Macau to confirm. C-GAUN (talk) 05:43, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
