Windows 98's default desktop color IS teal. Windows 2000 (and Millennium) both used a blue desktop. It is possible that Win95 did use viridian as its default desktop color, but Win98 (both the original and second editions) definitely used teal in the desktop. However, I'm reluctant to edit the article until I verify Win95's desktop color.--201.243.52.105 20:06, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The screenshot of Windows 95 on its Wikipedia article show a teal desktop, also. I'm gonna go ahead ande dit this one.--201.243.52.105 20:10, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

HSV

[edit]

The article states that the HSV is (113°, 87%, 97%), but according to Mac OS X the real values are (161º, 51%, 51%). The values as stated in the article seem to give me Bright Green (#66FF00). Can anyone confirm either set of values? Mac OS X 23:49, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I too have found that the true HSV values are (161º, 51%, 51%). Not the (113°, 87%, 97%) as stated in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sharkcellar (talkcontribs) 02:52, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A shade of blue?

[edit]

It seems that there is more green than blue in Viridian, as well as it comes from the Latin word for green. Shouldn't it be classified under the shades of green, rather than the shades of cyan? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.18.46.231 (talk) 19:52, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia

[edit]

None of the trivia is relevant or interesting. It should all be cut. I'm not willing to do this because it's not really my page. At best the trivia could be part of a disambiguation page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.212.64.234 (talk) 21:08, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Its use as a variation of "green" (in the sense of "eco-friendly") is probably worth noting, but I agree on the rest. 69.177.111.0 (talk) 20:29, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Graffiti

This page has been defaced, and needs to be repaired. Won't let me do it atm for some reason! F0088 (talk) 17:39, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2) Just saw this myself - how do we call it to the attention of those who can? The graffito is in the sidebar, can't be edited from this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.111.235.121 (talk) 19:51, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Gaffiti spotter (2) here again - I was able to get rid of the racist comments by deleting a single 'RETURN" at the end of the infobox, between reference 1 and the }}. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.111.235.121 (talk) 20:03, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Problem was the page was cached with the bad version of the template. Editing the page as you did, or forcing a purge should fix the problem. PaleAqua (talk) 02:14, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
