During new page review, I placed a notability tag on this page. The page creator removed it and then asked me why on my talk page. Instead of edit-warring over the maintenance tag, I'll repeat my concerns about notability here: The obituaries used are not independent, reliable sources -- they are the kind of obituary provided by family members, not independently reported by a newspaper's staff. Please see WP:NOBITS for more details. The other sources included mention Galle but they do not provide WP:SIGCOV of her as required under WP:GNG. The article also uses several WP:PRIMARYSOURCES (government documents, etc) that do not contribute to notability. Thus, there is no evidence in the article that she meets the required notability standard. (Under WP:NPOL, local elected officials are not considered automatically notable and must pass the general notability guideline.) Dclemens1971 (talk) 03:36, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Additional secondary sources have been added and additional reviews have been complete. Based on these guidelines, notability has been addressed. Bpuddin (talk) 08:35, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
