Neutral Point of View?
[edit]This article is currently more of a hagiography than a neutral encyclopedia article. A quote:
- Virgin Steele is one of those bands whose value is directly proportional to their misfortune -- enormous. Today they've achieved the cult band status, but this is one of the best metal bands of all time and surely the best which came out of the USA.
This article evidently needs editing to conform with Wikipedia's NPOV guidelines. -- Karada 21:59, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Note also that the biography is 7 years out of date - a lot has happened with this band since then!
Real talk: This was written by someone in the band, wasn't it? It sure reads like it. Like, not even a fan would jerk this band off this much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.89.45.223 (talk) 18:50, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
Could be. There's no problem with rewriting the article if you would like to actually help. (To be clear, I did not write this article) Vortiene (talk) 21:35, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
Help me find this interview
[edit]I wrote: "According to David DeFeis, all the lyrics he writes are based on real life in some form or another."
I know I've read this in an interview with David, but I was not able to find it. If someone finds it, please put it up as a source text. 83.88.132.129 01:07, 18 August 2005 (UTC)

The project explores the presence of Greek mythology in today's culture, and contains a recent, exclusive interview with David DeFeis about The House of Atreus and the myth in the music of Virgin Steele (http://www.mythimedia.org/interview_with_David_DeFeis%20.html) [this is the address that should be linked].
