Can be a epoxy acrylate adhesive be comercialized as a vinylester?

Move?

[edit]

According to this general source G. Roscher (2007). "Vinyl Esters". Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology. Weinheim: Wiley-VCH. doi:10.1002/14356007.a27_419., vinyl esters are compounds of the type CH2=CHO2CR, they are esters of vinyl alcohol. The big one is vinyl acetate, but vinyl laurate and vinyl propionate are also commercialized. On the other hand the term "vinyl ester" is jargon, used to describe acrylate esters obtained from epoxides of bisphenol A diglycidyl ether as described in the present article. The level of activity on these acrylate esters is large.

Proposal: convert vinyl ester to an article on vinyl esters with a "see also" to vinyl ester resin, to where I propose to move the current content. --Smokefoot (talk) 14:06, 16 May 2018 (UTC) Done--Smokefoot (talk) 19:08, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
