Vintsent Dunin-Martsinkyevich (Belarusian: Вінцэнт (Вінцук) Дунін-Марцінкевіч; c.1808–1884 polish :Wincenty Dunin-Marcinkiewicz) - was bilingual writer which wrote in polish and belarussian language. His poems are more important for belarussian than for polish literature. His origin - nobility of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (szlachta). One of his poems "Sielanka" is writing partly in polish and partly in belarussian. Others masterpieces are writing only in belarussian or only in polish. His last piece „Lucynka czyli Szwedzi na Litwie” (1861 r.) is writing in polish.

I've introduced the Polish aspect, however, I did not include the "Lucynka". Why not the complete list of the works, then, after all? Yury Tarasievich 06:42, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yurii ! I find list of few Dunin-Marcinkiewicz pieces :

„Wieczernice i Opętany” (1856); „Ciekawyś? Przeczytaj! Trzy powiastki i wierszyk ulotny” (1857); „Dudarz białoruski”; „Bylicy, raskazy Nawuma” (it's not published); „Chalimon na karanacji” (it's not published); "Lucynka czyli Szwedzi na Litwie” (1861 r.).

(Chalimon to satyra na koronację cara Aleksandra II).

Thanks! Yury Tarasievich 19:15, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lukashenko

[edit]

He has now been banned by Lukashenko. That should be added and sourced. 142.205.202.71 (talk) 18:51, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace

[edit]

Given that the Commonwealth no longer existed in the year of his birth (1808) I’m confused as to what’s going on. Is it a circumlocution to avoid saying “x Governorate, Russian Empire”? RadioactiveBoulevardier (talk) 07:47, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
