Edit appeal

[edit]

My request is simple this time: Please remove the flag from the top of the page ("This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments"). The edits in question were removed two years ago. Per your advice, I will create separate requests for other edits. Please reply if additional information is needed. Your help would be greatly appreciated! JamesRbel (talk) 19:27, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Vintage Film Awards

[edit]

I am the founder of the Vintage Film Awards. At the suggestion of the Wikipedia Volunteer Response Team, I have created an account and I am posting to this page to ask for your help in a) restoring the content about the 3rd Vintage Film Awards (removed and replaced repeatedly from 27-31 July 2018), and b) removing the flag from the top of the page ("This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments"). Please see brussels-express.eu/vintage-film-awards-2018/ to verify this event took place, and see vintagefilmawards.com/archive to see pictures of some of the winners with their statuettes.) Your help would be greatly appreciated! JamesRbel (talk) 13:12, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edit requests

[edit]

Please restore (or re-add) the content about the 3rd VFA ceremony and winners, which was deleted/restored/deleted from 27-31 July 2018. The ceremony was covered by Brussels Express https://brussels-express.eu/vintage-film-awards-2018/) and the Brussels Press Club (https://www.pressclub.be/past-events/3rd-vintage-film-awards-winners-annouced/). Photos of past winners with their statuettes can be seen at https://www.vintagefilmawards.com/archive/. There are few English-language press outlets in Belgium, but the event was well attended, and the audience included two international filmmakers and several journalists.

Also, please remove the tag "This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments" from the top of the page.

  • An article on an awards presenter should not list only the awards given[a] — just as an article on a business should not contain a list of all the company's patent filings. Articles should use their sources to craft a narrative describing the awards themselves and their impact on society along with references from reliable WP:SECONDARY sources which are not connected to the awards presenter.

Notes

  1. ^ The Academy Awards does have pages which list the awards given. However, those listings are placed in separate list articles which exist side-by-side to the article on the main subject. That has not been done in this case.
