Death of Caesar unrealistic
[edit]Has anyone ever noticed that Caesar as shown probably won't die? In knifing your victim, an upthrust with the knife is far more effective. The downthrust, while far more dramatic in a painting, will likely bounce off the ribcage.
Of course there's no reason for the article itself to mention knifing techniques at all. Indeed, my observation here on the discussion page is probably excessive. Snezzy (talk) 16:08, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
Dating of "Death of Caesar"?
[edit]The article says that the painting "The Death of Julius Caesar" dates from 1798, but the description in the file gives the years 1804-1805. Does anyone know which is the correct date? 188.104.158.182 (talk) 16:11, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
