Doctor Vincenzo Bianccini was an original exceptional mature soul who was close to the universality of the child within. He was misunderstood by many from the beginning of his life until almost a decade after his passage. He lived in Iran for 37 years until the 1979 revolution. During his spectacular working life of this adventures Artistic Humanistic character we Iranians got honored to have him as a lasting role model 34 years after his unwanted departure. He loved Iran passionately until our last talks in Geneva 1997. Once he had left Iran since he got cross with its politicians. He boycotted the program that Princess “Ashraf Pahlavi” who had initially approved of his programs at the “Sazman khadamat Shahanshahi”= The Organization for the royal services could not keep her backing for the program to back up the moving nomads. They had rather opted for the settlment of the nomas at large(This has become the inevitable condition by 2013) He told me that he left for Congo.
Finally the dispute ended because Queen Farah wrote to him ,and asked him to return to Tehran, to work with the Shahs minister" Majid Rahnama".1975 He was given a jeep with a driver a Canadian Anthropologist and a translator to carry out the project at the” Alashtar= Lorestan” zone on the East side of Iran where from the ancient times at least 5000 years ago, the tribes go during the warm seasons. After Dr. Bianchini passage in Geneva at 2000 I have tried to convince the authorities at the Italian embassy in Tehran to make a memorial for him here. Recently I find links to the majors of Lorestan area/state in Iran : to put up a memorial about his deeds there because I am familiar with their collective memories . Ihave been presentwith Dr. Bianchini group as an interpreter although he spoke French and not English. His emotional intelligence came into play when he had to communicate. He lived by his soul energy! His initiation of the programs for the “Sepahe Behdasht”=The health soldiers at their civil subscription during 1960-75 was the most important &famous of his works in Iran. He was a popular loved figure among all who knew him and that was what he wanted not the greed of the nouvu riche at the oil prices boom. 1976 I translated something written by his famous friend “Jalal AlAhmad” into English in for Dr. Bianchini. Presently that friendship is taken against Bianccini. 1999 I was introduced to Farrokh Ghaffari in Paris. He was a famous film maker intellectual friend who has passed away recently. I hope that Queen Farah and Princess Ashraf Pahlavi would also contribute to this Wikipedia article in order for the Health programs initiated by Dr. Bianchini to be reinstalled from the 20th century residuals ,for the sake of global development, by the younger generations onto the future..
Our Master Bianchini was humble. He was a poetic soul, depicted in his Abstract paintings that is appreciated by many of us in Iran. I hope the westerns would make a demand to uncover the universal concepts of his art work.
I had arrived late at this Master at his sixties. I was 17 luckily his daughters who are independent did befriend me that enabled me to take walks with him in Geneva 1983-97 and learn from him.. He was the first to have talked about eternity as a dimension to be discovered by any human being from the within, to me. He differentiated me from my peers who preferred superficiality to my strife for meanings in life. This strife motivates me to make a film about him.
One of his friends in Tehran is Mlle. Marie Antoinette Lia in her nineties. She told me: Vincenzo Bianchini was Original. His grandfather was a high religious person in Rome. His father was… his brother was… I recall that he had told me that his sister was a wonderful violinist and his son a renowned physicist; He used to put a simple eye drop in his eye after the parties in Tehran. I recalled Doctor Bianccini explaining that the DDT poison used in Congo had damaged his eyes permenantly. He had bad memories about the wrong medical treatments for his eye sight including the lazer surgery made in Rome. He had 3 children from his first wife whom he left behind in Rome to marry Badri in Tehran. Mlle. Lia casually handed me a brochure of Dr. Bianccinis’ art work published in 1968 Then from her reminiscences she recalled a story about his astonishing mannerism. Once he had disappeared before lunch was served. He had walked for kilometers from her apartment still at the Ferdowsi square to his at the Sannaie area. Similar to his life style wondering along nomads in the open deserts of” Khorasan” where he made the hospital for the “Astan Ghods Razavi” That hospital is renamed to the Reza Hospital and there is a picture of his hanging on the wall there. He changed his religion into Islam was …. In order for the patients to be allowed by their husbands to be medically diagnosed by him. He would rather walk across Tehran returning home where he sat out away from his wife a chimney smoker with their daughters Samineh and Anahita.
Mlle. Lia was glad to meet someone who recalled what an artist Vincenzzo Bianchini. he had been after we I exchanged stories . Mine was about how he had done a yogic head stand to express his disagreement at the “Sazman khadamat Shahanshahi”= The Organization for the royal services. The conflict was upon the subject matter concerning the political dispute over the settlement of the tribes . One of the greatest programs for the development in Iran was a program he had initiated: to teach paramedics for the benefit of the revolving tribal life style and let the tribes continue their nomadic life styles upon the challenge of modernity.
Was he ever recognized in the west? She asked me. “Was he ever discovered by those with the highest claims? she demanded at her very casual life after 60 years of teaching the French language to Tehran residents from the embassies or simple ordinary Iranian students. She has stayed on in Tehran since her early years, after his father served as an engineer in Iran. I recognized the depth of their human bondage. She had also known him as a great soul like me. She who had been on motor bikes in Tehran before her teaching salaries afforded her to buy her Fiat. She is a courageous character herself. Not surprisingly after years of teaching, she could apply her intelligence of the heart, to differentiate between human characters when she addressed her student, or when she explained that the damage to the tableaux was made by a sick person. Later Roya Saadat 45 who had introduced me to Mlle. Lia by her inner inkling reiterated. Our friend, who had been a student of the Mlle. Since she had been 19. She explained about that resident at that old early 20th century modern architecture. The damage to the paintings was made by the grandson of her Kurdish servant ”Akram” who was drawn in a painting by Vinccenzo Bianchini. At our initial meeting Mlle could not be bothered to speak too long upon our first meeting. She preferred to talk to her students, as permanent purposeful audiences, rather than distractions from the outside passing by that could interfere with her main task in life which was teaching. However, she had been a close friend of the estranged character from Rome who had taken refuge in Iran to begin the hospital at Mashad in his name Imam Reza the center of the religious Shiites was reinforced. Iranians contemporary great shrine of Imam Reza was built there especially: during the 19 century fanaticism that governed by intolerance in respect to the minorities. During the 20th century: Many displaced tribes where brought over there with their kettle to copy from Stalin and At-taTurk who seemingly had wrongly believed that the tribal fabric could be destroyed in order to promote modernity. Thus bring progress to the backwardness of such life styles.
Our sympathy for the recognition of the: mistaken, estranged, original artist doctor Vincenzo Bianchini, immediately knotted a tie between the Mlle. Lia and I. We were still in grief for that amazing character. They had shared the best times of Iran for foreigners when hopes for development and the release of the impoverished people from backwardness, out shined the stark realities that led to the 1979 revolution here. The miraculous appeared feasible to the Shah, the public and the foreigners in Iran. They were mostly westerners enjoyed a high optimistic cultured cosmopolitan open atmosphere in Tehran. The 21 century is witnessing fewer foreigners, mostly from Asia in Iran. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Firoozeh2. derakhshani (talk • contribs) 19:32, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
