According to the German Wikipedia article on Villa Maund, John Oakley Maund was murdered in an alley with a sandbag in 1902 (in Pisa, presumably). Bizarrely, this claim appears in the Villa Maund article but not in the German John Oakley Maund article. I have been unable to find a source confirming this explosive statement, and therefore have not incorporated it into either this article or the English John Oakley Maund article. I should also have mentioned that I placed certain passages in the article where the machine translation seemed faulty in hidden text (e.g. the aftermath of Crown Princess Cecilie's statement about the jewelry hidden at Villa Maund). I would appreciate it if anyone who understands German could improve the translations of these passages and make them visible text. Gildir (talk) 19:46, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
