I translated this article from the German wikipedia article. There are some internal data conflicts, for example, did the subject die in 1988 or in 1981. These I did not correct, as I did not have a ready source available. I added some links and categories, but otherwise did not alter the German article's basic text, except to translate it to the best of my ability. There are many ways this article could be improved, in particular by consulting Ezergailis, The Holocaust in Latvia, which is the standard English language text on the topic.Mtsmallwood (talk) 01:06, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The sources say Arājs died in 1988, 1981 was merely my typo in the German WP. I have corrected that there. For an online souce, see pg. 70 of Bernhard Press. I have made a few minor corrections. Thanks for the translation. --Minderbinder-de (talk) 04:37, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
