Cast list - why have separate lists on every season's page?

I don't see the purpose of this section, or the similar ones on seasons two, three and four.

We already have a main cast list on the main series page, and we have a separate page with all of the main, recurring and guest cast (including characters played by uncredited actors) cross-referenced by season and with a table showing in which season(s) each cast member participated, and in what capacity. Having four further cast lists adds no value at all and simply increases the probability of errors or conflict between the versions.

Why don't we just delete this section of this page, and link to the main character list page? IanB2 (talk) 13:17, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Season specifics should remain on the season pages - that includes recurring and guest cast, and is the local consensus on how to format a television series' article. Also following this, given that the character article exists, that is why the main article for the series only includes a list of the main characters, and not all of the recurring and guest characters.
