The article indicates that the city imported gas from UK. Were there pipelines in place. How did the gas get there? Or was it simply and english company? I am trying to research some history of town gas usage. 206.248.139.178 23:14, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Edward Ing[reply]

They didn't import any gas from UK to Vienna! That is wrong! The ICGA-company (Inter Continental Gas Association) from UK build in the 19th century some gasworks and gasometers in Vienna to produce towngas for lightning. Greetings, Andreas.poeschek 16:06, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
