NPOV

[edit]

This site seems a bit biased. I'd like a few non Collingwood fans to put their opinions here.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Sliat 1981 (talkcontribs) 06:40, 19 March 2006

This is a fairly biased article, but for the most part is fairly accurate. That said, the section claiming that the AFL forced Collingwood to leave the ground as a means of preventing the club from dominating the league is absolute nonsence.
For one thing, Collingwood had won just one Premiership in over 40 years when it moved. Thus to claim the league forced a move to stop them from dominating the competition is ridiculous.
Secondly, the move was in line with other clubs shifting from their smaller suburban grounds to larger shared venues owned by the AFL. StKilda, Essendon and Footscray all left their traditional grounds during the decade under the lure of lower maintenance costs and higher ground capacities. The only Victorian side left playing at its traditional ground is now Geelong.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.44.176.101 (talkcontribs) 01:36, 31 May 2006
I don't remember Melbourne leaving their traditional ground either, but then again, Melbourne do tend to be pretty forgettable most of the time.jkm 14:08, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a Collingwood supporter and even I find it horribly biased. Phrases like the "mighty Magpies" and nonsense like a visit for opposition teams ended in "almost certainly a loss". Ha, if only. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Travisbasevi (talkcontribs) 13:22, 29 September 2006
I just placed a NPOV and wikify tag on the article, i shouldnt need to explain the NPOV as its fairly obvious in the recent use section. --Dan027 09:39, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
