Audiobook Narrator?

[edit]

Is this him? -- RevRagnarok Talk Contrib Reverts 03:10, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't sound like him. NorthernThunder 03:27, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
"Sound like him," like something he would do, or "sound like him" because you've heard a sample of the recording? -- RevRagnarok Talk Contrib Reverts 03:38, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I heard a sample of a recorded version. It doesn't sound like him.NorthernThunder 16:23, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanx for the clarification. -- RevRagnarok Talk Contrib Reverts 17:36, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Victor Garber has narrated a number of Audiobooks, including the Bunnicula series. Earthlyone (talk) 23:38, 8 December 2008 (UTC) earthlyone[reply]

The dubbed version of "La Cage Aux Folles" lists 'Victor Garbor' as one of the voice actors (I believe as Albin). Is it the same Victor Garber? 71.185.7.82 (talk) 02:38, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category: Canadian Jews

[edit]

The article includes the Category Canadian Jews, but nowhere in the text there is any reference to Victor Garber's religion. Albmont 14:49, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He's Now Jewish. I've found no sources. IronCrow 02:36, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are many sources. Here's one example [1]. Flummery 17:45, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Perfected a Northern Irish accent"

[edit]

This might seem like nitpicking, but I beg to differ with the above statement. Victor Garber did not "perfect" a Northern Irish accent in James Cameron's Titanic, he didn't even come close. I am really just wondering if this claim can be removed from the article based on the fact that it is completely false? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chinadollontour (talkcontribs) 15:41, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I changed "perfected" to "used" as it's unsourced and doesn't seem very neutral. In the future you might just want to be bold and change small things like that yourself. If someone wants to re-add it, find a reliable source and give attribution (ie: "perfected an irish accent according to such and such"). Siawase (talk) 16:12, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life

[edit]

Has he ever been married, does he have kids... you know, stuff that his fans might wanna know. 24.189.90.68 (talk) 00:01, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He's gay. http://straighttalkonmarriage.blogspot.com/2010/01/voice-for-equality-victor-garber.html Aml830 (talk) 07:31, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Several months ago I was browsing the gay actors, or gay performers or famous people list, and he was in that list, and I am pretty sure there was a section in his article about this, and now there is nothing about him being gay. If it had credible sources why has it been edited out?Dollvalley (talk) 15:46, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have a quotable source at this time, but Vg's homosexuality has been public knowledge for years...decades even. He has been in an LTR with artist/model Rainer Andreesen for many years now (pics of the adorable couple abound on the intertubes). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.61.140.185 (talk) 00:10, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, why does the article not mention his homosexuality at all? Furthermore, shouldn't there be some sort of LGBT tags or categories? Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 04:55, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Filmography?

[edit]

Is it complete? I could swear that he played the Expert's role in "My cousin Vinnie"... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.245.4.243 (talk) 07:52, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's nothing at imdb. You would need to find a reliable source for it. Siawase (talk) 07:55, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think he was in the 1999 version of Annie? I would edit it in, but I don't know how :/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.97.136.88 (talk) 15:01, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

He was. He played Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks. See: Annie (1999 film). Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 19:29, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Possible source with more info for the personal life section

[edit]

Not sure if http://greginhollywood.com/how-my-interview-wvictor-garber-got-interesting-79176 meets the reliable source policy but if so then that's him confirming that he's been with his partner for 13 years and that he's gay, both of which are things that Wikipedia, for whatever reason, thinks are important and relevant points on articles about actors. I don't know the reliable sources policy nearly well enough to judge so so extra input would be nice. Cat-fivetc ---- 15:04, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
