I'm not entirely sure what "per Gallias" means? That a Gallic authority of some sort endorsed his reign, or just that he was from Gaul himself?

"However, after Maximus invaded Italy, in 387, to depose Valentinian II, the brother and successor of the late Gratian, Theodosius invaded in 388." This sentence is a little bit consternating...probably needs to be split into two separate sentences.

The lead bears no mention of when Victor was crowned emperor.

Any reason for Theodosius' reversal in his stance on Maximus?

It isn't stated, but my best guess would be he desired the situation of the Western Roman Empire being split, because it made both dependent upon his good will, and therefore useful to him. When Maximus unified the Western Roman Empire, he no longer held that sway over both. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 15:08, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Arbogast should probably be mentioned in the lead as well; the lead gives the impression that Victor was killed by Maxmimus' executors.  Done
Well-written article, just a few points left. QatarStarsLeague (talk) 14:15, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
