Good job on keeping a neutral tone throughout the article, the information is to the point and informative. I know there aren't that many sources on Verna Pratt so I don't blame you for not have a lot. Some useful information I recommend adding is the awards and recognition she got like the Helen S. Hull Literary Award, which could be a new section in the article, and maybe her teaching history as well. I also recommend adding a picture of Verna Pratt in the infobox. And for your sources, make sure to add the little hyperlink ID number after using a source. SketchyPencil (talk) 00:58, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that you did a good job keeping a neutral tone. I think you could add a section on her life in Alaska and the books she wrote. EKFrance (talk) 04:28, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Alaska Women's Hall of Fame contains a reference to https://www.adn.com/alaska-news/2017/01/09/wildflower-wizard-verna-pratt-dies-in-anchorage while this article does not. This is an actual news story reporting on her death, which is highly preferable to an obituary. That story contains a mention of another news story from 1992, which also isn't represented in the article. Instead of claiming sources don't exist, perhaps you should invest just a little effort to investigate further like I did. The article's creator is participating in Wikipedia via a class at the University of Alaska Anchorage. The public is currently being kept out of the UAA/APU Consortium Library, which hosts the only known public access to the NewsBank archive of the Anchorage Times (the Anchorage Public Library declined to subscribe). Considering how far back her public renown stretches, this is quite possibly another treasure trove of reliable sources. Hope this helps. Proposed merge of Verna Pratt flowers into Verna Pratt

[edit]

Not enough substance for stand-alone article, could easily be merged into the main article on the person in question, which would also better help establish context. DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:17, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
