[edit]Under the Handbags tab, it should be revised. Many of the styles listed are retired. Since new styles/patterns come out every season then we should keep them updated for user knowledge. Also the production site in Indiana is no longer there, they have sent the company overseas. Cgraham09 (talk) 19:32, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Got citations for this? With no references at all, this looks like a candidate for a speedy :/. Homestarmy 22:14, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

this is supposed to be an encyclopedia right

Comments
[edit]This article could server to be seriously cut down - most of the information seems un-notable and is unsourced. I've already removed half-a-dozen links to the company's website, and replaced with a couple of templated sources (since to the company's site, though - distinctly non-third party), but surely there's no need to list every product and colour of fabric(!) this company has ever sold --kateshortforbob 12:09, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Colors/Patterns
[edit]I keep removing references to the colors/patterns. Since they've had so many retired over the years and they've been in business for a number of years that list will keep growing. I don't see what encyclopedic value that adds to the article unless it's an especially notable (and sourced) color for the company. Please don't add the colors back to the page without discussing it here first. --ImmortalGoddezz 15:27, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Should the Pink Elephant pattern be mentioned, since it is part of her efforts to support cancer research? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sundancin (talk • contribs) 17:56, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
I came to the page today looking for a full list of patterns by season. What better place than wikipedia? This is one of the shortest wikipedia pages I've ever seen, and I don't see why a table (pattern name, season released, date retired) would be a bad thing to have. Thoughts? --Tay (talk) 17:05, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
- I added an external link that takes the reader to a list of old patterns and seasons they were out. That should prove helpful. LovelyLillith (talk) 17:30, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
Retail stores
[edit]The 1,000,000 retail stores is certainly incorrect. 1st, that would mean an average net income (assuming the income figure is true) of only $100 per store per year. 2nd, there's just no way that a company of that size could be sold in so many stores. Finally, see http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/companyProfile?rpc=66&symbol=VRA.O which indicates somewhere in the range of 3300 stores by May 2010. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mattcarl (talk • contribs) 22:49, 29 March 2011 (UTC) According to the Vera Bradley website, there are currently over 3,000 independent retailers. The information on Wikipedia's Vera Bradley page needs corrected, as it is most definitely inaccurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stella may2 (talk • contribs) 06:37, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Written like an advertisement
[edit]At the moment the article looks as though it could have been written by a PR team (it was even worse until I edited it slightly). Dougweller (talk) 18:31, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
- The view points that are over represented in this article is the History. It is emphasized way to much in the sense that it promotes the product instead of stating its history properly. Some information that could be added are pictures correlating with the names of the patterns to emphasize what they look like. Each fact is not referenced with appropriate links or citations. Mwydl001 (talk) 13:35, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Mwydl001: What you wrote is a bit confusing. Next time, be very specific about what you are referencing. Which facts were not referenced? What does it mean that "the view points that are over represented in this article is the History"? Confusing. Alfgarciamora (talk) 15:34, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
Still written like an advertisement
[edit]This article stills seams like it was written by part of the company's marketing team. Added an editing banner to help promote improvements. SpiritedMichelle (talk) 21:23, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
- I reworked the article and hopefully it will be found to be more balanced and factual. I'm not affiliated with the company, but I do have a few of their products. LovelyLillith (talk) 17:33, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
