Please clarify

In the section about mu-opioid receptors, are you saying that stimulating these receptors can both decrease pain perception and increase pain perception? How does this work? Do they reduce pain, followed by a rebound effect after 45 minutes? Or is there something more complex that I simply don't understand? Bwrs (talk) 10:55, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
