I would like to remove few content as shown below:
On 19 April 2014, Sharma was expelled from the Congress party, and following which he resigned as a Member of Legislative Assembly on 2 May 2014. He had earlier resigned as Union minister in 1999 following his son Manu Sharma involvement was found in Jessica Lal murder case. He made a come back in 2004, and won the election from Ambala city, Haryana to be elected as a Member of Legislative Assembly.
In 1999, He resigned from the Congress party during Indian general election following his son Manu Sharma involvement was found in Jessica Lal murder case.[4]
Because its a page of Venod Sharma and the use of Jessica Lal and Manu Sharma over here is of no use. So, its a request to please remove the above mentioned content from this page. Its a Wikipedia that is an encyclopedia but here it looks like as if we are reading a newspaper/article and someone is indirectly trying to degrade the reputation of a living person i.e. Venod Sharma. Its a hate speech and hence should be deleted. Also, in the reference links it has been given that he resigned but the words like expelled, Jessica Lal Murder Case is taking this issue to some other path. So, please remove it as early as possible.
- Not done: - Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Please note that the information present in Wikipedia articles are solely based on information present in reliable sources. He resigned as Union minister in 1999 because his son Manu Sharma's involvement was found in Jessica Lal murder case and he was expelled from the Indian National Congress party on 19 April 2014, is what reliable sources say. Please refer to these source, Business-standard, ZeeNews, Times of India, Times of India-2. Do not start an election campaign on Wikipedia, keep it away from politics. Proposed changes
[edit]I agree that this article is about Venod Sharma, so his family details and the verifiable news that Venod Sharma had resigned from Haryana Cabinet following, pressure after a sting operation alleging that he had influenced certain key witnesses in the Jessica Lal murder case to save his son Manu Sharma is certainly notable and reportable[1][2][3]. Please stop removing it repeatedly. 24.125.121.9 (talk) 02:52, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

[edit]I want to remove the content mentioned below:
On 19 April 2014, Sharma was expelled from the Congress party, and following which he resigned as a Member of Legislative Assembly on 2 May 2014. He had earlier resigned as Union minister in 1999 after his son Manu Sharma involvement was found in Jessica Lal murder case. He made a come back in 2004, and won the states assembly election from Ambala city, Haryana.
In 1999, He resigned from the Congress party during Indian general election after his son Manu Sharma involvement was found in Jessica Lal murder case.
Because Jessica Lal case is not at all related to Venod Sharma. Its related to his son Manu Sharma. Also, we can add Manu Sharma on this page but as Manu Sharma is involved in a very big case so his name's usage is just for the promotion of this page. Also, here on Wikipedia we never create any page for an individuals promotion and via adding Manu's and Jessica Lal's name we are indirectly promoting this page. Also, why are we adding the name Manu and Jessica when this page belongs to Venod Sharma. If we want to put the information related to Manu and Jessica Lal's case then we should rename this page as Manu and Jessica Lal case rather than naming it as Venod Sharma.
So, please either remove the content mentioned above or remove this page only. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rameshkohli123 (talk • contribs) 08:05, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

- Not done: while I would like to see more on how the Lal case affected Vanu personally, I see no reason to remove the stuff about him being expelled. Cannolis (talk) 09:46, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Ramesh Kohli - Are you someone close to Venod Sharma? If yes, will you consider donating a picture of him as the present article lacks one? Perhaps, this way, you may contribute to improve the present article. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 23:50, 16 August 2014 (UTC)

I would like to remove the content "He had earlier resigned as Union minister in 1999 after his son Manu Sharma involvement was found in Jessica Lal murder case." and "In 1999, He resigned from the Congress party during Indian general election after his son Manu Sharma involvement was found in Jessica Lal murder case." from this page as it has been written in the controversial way. Its a page of Venod Sharma and the usage of Manu Sharma and Jessica Lal in it is again and again taking this page towards Jessica Lal's case rather than showing the information about Venod Sharma. Wikipedia is for showing the biography about a living person but here the content that has been used is taking this page to the biography of Jessica Lal and Manu Sharma. Why are we using the same information here when it is already present on Manu Sharma and Jessica Lal's Wikipedia pages. This way we are focusing on only one issue that is jessica lal murder case. Its written in the reference links that he resigned after his son's involvement in Jessica Lal's Murder case that doesn't prove that he himself was involved in this murder case. There must be a point of doing anything. And here if the wiki page of Venod Sharma has been created then it must be written to show the reality of venod sharma rather than showing the same worst and controversial thing again and again. I would like to add few points in this wikipedia page and i hope the controversial statements mentioned above will get remove and this content that I have mentioned below will be added. Factually and actually the below mentioned content must be added to this page.
- Not done: decline. controversial does not mean not true. Cannolis (talk) 16:14, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
Venod Sharma
[edit]Venod Sharma is a name that itself describes Indian Political legacy. Venod Sharma is a veteran political leader with more than 40 years of glorious political record. He is one political leader who has the distinction of serving in both the Central and state government.
Venod Sharma’s political career began in 1978 in Indian youth Congress. He held the position of General Secretary. During his tenure, the number of members of youth congress rose manifold, a reflection of his ability to manage organization. Venod Sharma for the first time entered the electoral fray in the year 1980 when he contested the Banur Legislative Seat in Punjab. In the year 1980, he won this seat with a comprehensive margin and since then has never faced any electoral defeat.
A devoted grass root man, Venod Sharma is committed for development, fight against social injustice and progress of all sections of society. He has a great ability to inspire people. His innate knowledge of social problems makes him the foremost leader of the state, a leader who enjoys support of all the sections of society in Haryana.
Venod Sharma is married to Smt. Shakti Rani Sharma and they have three children, two sons and one daughter. He strongly believes in giving back to the society .He has always been involved in many philanthropic activities across Haryana. He is working for the empowerment of women and known for fighting for the cause of the poor. Under the aegis of “Ambala Healthcare & Welfare Society”, Venod Sharma have been involved in many welfare activities like health camps, blood donation drives and eye check-up camps in Ambala region.
Venod Sharma’s Political Career
[edit]• He has served at various positions in Government of India and in Haryana Government. • He was a Cabinet minister in P.V. Narasimha Rao’s government and was a MP from Rajya Sabha. • He has also served at various positions in Congress party. • Venod Sharma was the General Secretary of All India Youth Congress and Haryana Youth Congress. • Later he became the President of Youth Congress as well as President of Congress Committee of Chandigarh. • He also represented Ambala constituency as an MLA in Haryana.
Venod Sharma is known for his efforts to implement the Rights of citizens. He strongly believes in the dictum that change can bring wonders. He is a strong supporter of people's power. He is the person behind reservation for economically weak upper caste in Haryana.
Venod Sharma has an impeccable record of clean leadership. He is a social reformer committed to eliminate corruption from all walks of life. He is an educated, dedicated, determined leader who is committed to provide good governance.
Venod Sharma’s present Goals for Haryana
[edit]• Venod Sharma nurtures a dream for Haryana, a Haryana which is progressive, developed and full of opportunities. Today when politicians are only concerned with serving their own interests Venod Sharma is one leader who stands out. Venod Sharma not only envisions a prosperous Haryana he also has the ability to fix the system and make it responsive to the needs of the people. He is the ray of hope for the millions of people of Haryana
• Venod Sharma is a great advocate of youth empowerment and strongly believes that until and unless the problems of the youths are not addressed, the state won’t march forward. He knows that it is only the youth who can take the state forward .If the youth won’t be able to find jobs than it will not only affect the economy of the state but will create social problems as well.
• Venod Sharma understands the pain which a jobless youth undergoes. No doubt it is one reason why he is attacking the system of interview in government jobs which is full of loopholes. It is because of the favoritism practiced in the so called interview process of the government jobs of Haryana, that the youth of the state today is an agitated lot. None of the leaders in the state came forward to sympathize with the educated youth of the state. It is only Venod Sharma who understood the agony of the youths and took up their cause.
• Venod Sharma knows the factors which can help in job creation in the state of Haryana. He knows that Haryana has immense potential in terms of resources. But the missing link is the policy initiatives which can bring the Industry to the state. Venod Sharma has been constantly appealing to the government to frame those policies which can incentivize the Industry in the state. He has emphasized hugely one the establishment of food parks in the state as Haryana has a robust agriculture sector.
• Haryana has not done enough in terms of skill up gradation of the youth. Venod Sharma has often pointed out this there is a gap in the area of skill development of the youth and it needs to be addressed. The youth can only get jobs if they possess the right kind of skills. To improve the employability of the youth, skill development is a must and that has always been the focus area of Venod Sharma.

In infobox Officeholder section the name Manu Sharma has been mentioned as Venod Sharma's Children. Here, I would like to ask one thing that if we are talking about Venod Sharma then we should mention the name of his all children. If we are using only Manu Sharma then it clears that someone has wrote this name to promote this page. That is against Wikipedia's policy i guess. Its clearly mentioned in Wikipedia's policy that we cannot put content for promotional purpose. So, I request the admin to please either remove this children category from this section or add his other children's name also. Also, this page belongs to Venod Sharma and what I have found is that instead of Venod Sharma's information Manu Sharma's information has been highlighted everywhere. Venod Sharma is a public body and hence we should use his information rather than his family member's because we use or read Wikipedia for the our knowledge that must relate to the topic of that page.

- Not done: - You are requested to familiarize yourself first with Wikipedia policy and guidelines before you claim something to be in accordance or against to it. Suggested changes on top, "Venod Sharma's present goal for Haryana" is totally promotional and unsourced. It requires to be re-written from a neutral point of view and most importantly attributed to the reliable sources that are independent of the subject. And, suggested changes later to include his all children name could not be implemented because his children do not lose their right to privacy just because their's father is a notable person. Manu Sharma is a notable person, and that's why he is there mentioned in the infobox. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 17:47, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

I totally respect your sentiments. But whatever I said is what I felt and have analyzed. Being a Wikipedia user its my duty to claim what is going right and what's going wrong. Neither I am blaming Wikipedia nor you. And yes I have read the Wikipedia policies thoroughly and I have seen that the content and the page should not be created for promotional point of view. And by keeping all these points in mind I felt that whatever has been mentioned on this page is violating the Wikipedia's policies. Although I am simply saying that the page is of Venod Sharma and hence his information must be added apart from the information related to his son's case. Here, what I have felt is that we are focusing on only one issue that is Jessica Lal Murder case. Also, I have not added any promotional content and yes I can give you the reference links related to the content that I have request you to add on this page. I and many of the users have analyzed this thing that the content available on this website is totally unrelated and usefulness if we compare it with the title of this page. Also, in info box Officeholder section the usage of Manu Sharma's name clearly states that you are trying to take all the traffic towards Manu sharma via Venod Sharma because he is notable politician. If we are adding the Manu Sharma's name on this page as his children then we should add his other children's name also. Otherwise it clearly states that we are trying to put main focus on Manu Sharma only.
So, again I request you to please remove the the contents "He had earlier resigned as Union minister in 1999 after his son Manu Sharma involvement was found in Jessica Lal murder case." and "In 1999, He resigned from the Congress party during Indian general election after his son Manu Sharma involvement was found in Jessica Lal murder case." from this page. And add the content I have mentioned below. There must be a motive to put anything online whether its on Wikipedia or any other site. Also, no matter that the content is negative or positive the point is that it must give some output and relevant information to the people. And I have not mentioned any promotional content. I gave you the content that is available online.

Ravindaran/Rameshkohli123 etc., you're really going about this the wrong way. From what I gather, you seem to be taking the position that mention of the resignation and involvement in the murder case is given undue weight and attempting to justify your edits per WP:BLP policy. You may even have somewhat of a case if only you'd articulate it here properly. It appears though that your edits are clearly intended to promote, and/or whitewash, you're consistently edit-warring, plus your currently being investigated for sockpuppetry, so things aren't looking too good for you. Besides, per WP:PUBLICFIGURE the content should stay. -- Ϫ 09:01, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
