Game Industry News

[edit]

Someone cited a "Game Industry News" in the article. Are these guys a professional website? Their site is extremely primitive and they aren't listed on Metacritic or Gamerankings.

Until somebody can put up a reference indicating that this is indeed a professional site, (and not just one of the very common scams) I'm going to replace it with Gamespot, one that everyone knows is legitimate.

Warning: Intentional Misinformation was posted on article

[edit]

Someone posted that the game had received very positive reviews, and that IGN gave it 9/10 and Gamespot 10/10.

This is COMPLETELY wrong. IGN gave the game 5/10, Gamespot gave it 7.5/10, and the Metacritic scores are very mediocre and negative in general (64 and 56).

Whoever tried to make it seem as if the game was well received might try to do it again. (probably someone with a vested interest in pretending that the game got high reviews, such as a developer or publisher employee, etc)

I have put the PROPER scores in, with links to metacritic and IGN. If this person who is trying to spread misinformation removes the correct information, they should be banned from editing this article any further. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.232.219.14 (talk) 19:27, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Adding PS3 to the platform

[edit]

This is coming from the developer homepage: http://replaystudios.de/sabotage Straight from the developer site: "Release: Fall 2008 Platforms: PC and Next Gen Consoles." Scarslasher (talk) 23:23, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removing PS3 from platform list

[edit]

Latest Press release (5/13/08): [1]

Gamecock Media Group confirmed a Fall 2008 release for the Xbox 360 and Windows based PC platform. This has altered the previous most recent press release which stated release to be on "PC and Next Gen Consoles." "Next Gen consoles" seems to have been narrowed down to "Xbox 360"

Official Press release URL would be nice if anyone can supply it once made available on the internet. Elusivelattice (talk) 07:37, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since when is yahtzee counted as an official reviewer?

[edit]

Seriously people, since when can some guys rants on a mediocre website be counted as a notable review in this games portfolio?

Its not up to people to moan about critics they dont like any notable opinion should be sited even if it is from a 'mediocre website'. If it is a vaild opinion based on experiance playing again also 'Yahtzee' is notable for other things than his zero punction reviews and does contribute to a number of gaming related publicashions so should not be dismissed out of hand.152.71.179.116 (talk) 18:40, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your kidding? Yahzee (zero punctuation) is becoming one of the most well known and respected reviewer in the circles. he also has a massive cult following and viewers - Random person that forgot to log into his account x_X

"This game was made in germany"

[edit]

This phrase has some sort of negative, or just absolutely stupid connotation to it...

Story

[edit]

Hi just wanted to say i think the story section could use some work if anybody as the time / inclination to do so. As at present it does read very well at the moment.152.71.179.116 (talk) 18:45, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Banned in Germany?

[edit]

This game was made by Germans and it's all about Nazis. Why isn't it stated anywhere it was banned in Germany? It clearly violates their anti-Nazi laws. Cid SilverWing —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.166.178.16 (talk) 05:30, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, not all Germans from the war were Nazi's, infact in the grand scheme of things only a small fraction were. Some may have supported certain ideologies of the party but not all of them. The German ban is only on representations of the party (the Swastika, certain medals, etc), if they are not included in the game than it won't be banned. --Elven6 (talk) 00:21, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
