Merger proposal

[edit]

@Dharmadhyaksha:@Fylindfotberserk:@Kailash29792: I propose to merge Lakshmi Putrudu into Vambu Sandai. Vambu Sandai is the original version and the makers of the film decided to reshot scenes in Telugu based on Uday Kiran's popularity. --DragoMynaa

@Dharmadhyaksha:@Srivin:@Atlantic306:@Terminator92:@Cyphoidbomb:@IamAkashVJ:@Abishe: In these sources, Lakshmi Putrudu is not mentioned as it is a dubbed film.[1][2] Upon matching the film, none of the scenes involve the Telugu comedians interacting with the main actors as these scenes were shot separately. Additionally, several Tamil actors (Ramesh Khanna, Nizhalgal Ravi, Sathyaraj, Vijayan, Sabitha Anand, Riyaz Khan) are in the film clearly showing that the original language is Tamil. Tamil actor Ramesh Khanna is seen as the hero's friend in both "version"s. The Telugu version claims to have re-shot a song, and after watching "Em Smile Raa" video song, it is evident that this song was reshot for the Telugu version. This comedy scene from the "Telugu version" (the director does not replace Ramesh Khanna) - This scene is clearly dubbed. Both articles have the same content. The Telugu version simply contains mostly dubbed scenes. Additionally, the runtimes of both films explain everything. The Telugu version is eight minutes longer. Other than the eight minutes of Telugu comedy, the body of the film is dubbed from the Tamil version. The Telugu version songs are the exact same as the Tamil songs save for one.

All in all, there is not enough differences between the films (same cast and crew) for them to be considered separate films.
