I posted a edit about my input and how the V Drink concept was born, (The V drink concept was born at a service station in Hastings New Zealand by Brendon Eagle, when he spoke to an apple and pear board executive about his vision of the ultimate energy drink, and then v was born, v has not replyed to emails from the founding visionary Brendon, and to this day remains unrecognised or acknowledged for his part in seeding V) This is true and I am pissed at v for not responding to me, next steep, get a statement from a apple and pear board executive. Dantheman has his facts wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheBeagles (talk • contribs) 10:52, 21 August 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Im not really authorised to remove statements, so i added a citation needed to the part of V being healthy other then the sugar, if this statement were correct - would that not make Sugar free V a healthy energy drink?, I do not think so —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.171.147.248 (talk) 14:04, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
So if "V" shares 53% of the energy drink market in Australia, how much does Red Bull share?.. Just curious.. :)
The market share of Res Bull in Australia is around 20% In the two countries where it has been launched, V market share is better than Red Bull one.
- We need a source on these figures. The only source on the page at the moment is from V themselves and shouldn't be used as a source. More so when the first sentence is, ahem, "‘V' sells a shitload more than any other energy drink in Australia". The KZA (talk) 03:27, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
I have worked in administration of supermarkets, where is a citation that Monster is major competitor? Most stores that I have worked at or communicated with sell very little Monster, or don't stock it at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 101.98.164.126 (talk) 17:41, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

If I remember correctly, V also originally came in a 600ml bottle when it first came out? A friend of mine has it as a collectors item. Does anyone have any facts on it so it could be added to the page?
V was originally launched only as a 250ml slimline can. Research said 355mlo can - but the marketing team went with slimline to stay with emerging Energy Drink cues out of Europe. These slimeline cans were only available ex Canada initially (not manufactured in NZ at the time), and once the first 6 months of cans were sold out, Frucor sought a quick fix option using green glass bottles (were West Coast Wine Cooler bottles), and bottled via Independent Liquor in south Auckland. ACI Penrose was the supplier, and only had the approximate colour green in 350ml bottles, so that is why that size was launched - necessity. Success of the bottle meant that the decision to move back to cans was dropped and the two skus were sold side by side - the bottle adopted by consumers seeking an energy boost on the go because of its resealability. By 1999, V had 4 sdkus - 250ml Can and 350ml Bottle, and 4-packs of each. 2407:7000:87A9:1501:930:63FA:CA64:E68A (talk) 01:01, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
Around the world
[edit]Where else is V being sold?
I know that the drink started being marketed in Argentina in 2006. I was there last month and even saw TV commercials of the brand. Danone, the company who distributes the product, want's to introduce V into the Argentine market. Competing with the popular brands at the moment which are Red-Bull, Black Fire and Speed. http://www.v-argentina.com.ar/ --CROWDUDE 23:47, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
100k and a pallet of 'v'
[edit]There is also a new promo in New Zealand atm via bebo and a stand-alone site V Republic. This is a NZ only competion to find the best way to use $100k and a pallet of 'v' via submitting ideas thru their site and therefor judged.

New design
[edit]Shouldn't the pics on the page be updated with the new bottles and cans? (Which have a different logo) 202.180.106.18 (talk) 03:01, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Black V
[edit]The article says Black V is coffee flavoured. Apart from not actually tasting like coffee, I don't think any of the marketing for it mentions coffee either. Am I wrong? The KZA (talk) 03:27, 11 August 2008 (UTC) Recipe was a coffee / cola combination that was designed to be smoother and more in line with Carbonated soft drink flavour profile. Used a more adult targeting to differentiate vs std green V. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2407:7000:87A9:1501:930:63FA:CA64:E68A (talk) 00:46, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
Key Ingredients?
[edit]Cocaine and Speed under key ingredients? Speed even links to "measure of movement", obviously vandalism. They have now been removed. Physischitzo (talk) 10:50, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Sounds like an endorsement
[edit]The marketing initiatives section especially, but I think this article is biased... No remarks on the possible side effects of use or the fact it contains unusual ingredients... but instead a section about marketing campaigns involving helping people? Also, the language in which it is written is very one-sided. "Available in original and black." This is VERY odd. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aleph am455 (talk • contribs) 11:01, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Black V tastes wrong!!!
[edit]This drink was brought from one of the Wearhouse groups, but the taste is strange it is not the same as all the other black V I have had in the past, have you change the fomula of this drink? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.239.220.155 (talk) 02:20, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
This isn't Frucor customer service/complaints dept. It's about improving the main article. If you don't like it, don't drink it! Thanks DaveDodgy (talk) 13:21, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
What about red V?
[edit]I hear they're stopping making Red V, wtf? Its like the only flavour that isn't crap! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.236.141.89 (talk) 01:33, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
energy shots
[edit]I notice this requires citiation .I can vouch for this as this happened to me. "V energy shots Samples were sent to Vrepublic members with a warning that they shouldn't be consumed by those under 16 years of age. However, Frucor sent the energy shot samples without checking the ages of all the recipients. V apologised for the error with a phone call and a letter" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chaos2501 (talk • contribs) 06:31, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Ingredients??
[edit]The article only says that "Green V" "is the original flavour". That's really dumb. For years now. How about telling the rest of the world what it actually tastes like, and what is in it??
Ah I see, there was an edit war. The last useful version of the page was 2018-10-06, then user "Ajf773" showed up and nuked everything to hell.
Good luck in making the page informative again. I'll stay well clear, with people like that watching over it...
