Right now, the article reads, "She left East Germany in 1990 before German reunification." However, the article for the Berlin Marathon claims that on 30 September 1990 Uta Pippig won the race, and she is marked with the flag of the German Democratic Republic (East Germany). It is theoretically possible for both statements to be true, but not likely, since German reunification took place only four days after the Berlin marathon in 1990. Maybe "officially"? Because two women did that before, Roberta Gibb (66-67-68) and Sara Mae Berman (69-70-71) before women were officially accepted with their bibs. Also Gibb was recognised in the 90's by BAA as a true champion. MachoCarioca (talk) 04:36, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
