Criticism
I think many buyers find this sales technique objectionable. There seems to be no criticism section. Astronaut (talk) 17:57, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Examples in context of upsell / cross-sell
The definiton and examples are at odds. Surely selling more RAM after a computer purchase is not upsell (or at least, not upsell on the computer); by the cited definition, selling waterproof spray with shoes is cross-sell.
Selling a bigger television because "it's more expensive but worth the extra" would be a much better example of upsell. Extended warranties are upsell if considered as a replacement for the manufacturer's warranty (by the definition given, which might arguably be wrong). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.58.152.52 (talk) 14:14, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Spelling
I have moved this page from 'Up-selling' to 'Upselling', which is the predominant form. Earthlyreason (talk) 17:25, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
