GA Review

[edit]
This review is transcluded from Talk:Up All Night (30 Rock)/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

The article's looking alright, but here are a few suggestions for improvement:

  • It was written by, the series' creator and executive producer, Tina Fey and it was directed by Michael Engler - comma confusion. Get rid of the one after "written by" and add one after "Tina Fey". Done
  • Why is February 08 used, not just February 8? I've never seen this done before - I went to WP:MOS#Dates and it didn't say anything about this but uses examples like "March 5" and "7 January" without the zeroes. Done
  • Guest stars in this episode included... - the episode still exists, therefore it still "includes" many guest stars. Done
  • It's Valentine's Day and the TGS cast and crew have to pull an all-nighter - use "it is" to avoid contractions, and although "pull an all-nighter" is probably the best descriptive term to use, it probably isn't the most uncyclopedic or formal. Could we reword? Done
  • Cerie reveals that she in fact does not have feelings for Kenneth - we've just used the phrase "to have feelings for" so maybe mix it up and use something else like "she is not attracted to Kenneth". Done
  • Soho Grand Hotel - "SoHo"? That'd be the correct NY spelling, but I don't know if there's a sign or something that actually appears in the show...?  Not done
    • A sign doesn't appear in the episode, but during the end credits, the hotel's credit (for product placement) is spelt Soho.
  • Liz has received a gift, of chocolates and flowers, from a supposed secret admirer - either remove the commas or the work "of". Done
  • Pete has forgotten that it's Valentine's Day and that also happens to mean that is his wife, Paula's, birthday - how about "...it is Valentine's Day, which also happens to be his wife Paula's birthday"? A few changes in there. Done
  • He spends the night running around to city - "the city"? Done typo
  • she would appear in various episodes in a different role - "in different roles"? Done
  • 6% of all 18–49 year olds watching television at the time of the broadcast in the U.S. - it looks weird, but there need to be another full-stop/period at the end of the sentence after "U.S.". Done
  • Canning rated this episode "8.5 out of 10" - no need for the quotes, it's a rating that can be taken out of context. Done

Otherwise, everything looks okay. The article will be on hold for a week so good luck making changes in that time. I've also noticed you have quite a few GANs going at the moment, so it'd be much appreciated if you filled out a review or two of some other articles :) —97198 talk 07:21, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Great, I'm happy to pass the article. —97198 talk 02:06, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
